Job description
The Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine seeks to appoint a Senior Learning Technologist to be part of the Faculty Education Services (FES) Digital Education Team. Accountable for the management of proactive operational planning and day to day coordination across Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) and Digital Education activity. You will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of a service -centric provision ensuring service levels are of a high standard across the Teams activity, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
You will support academics in the delivery of digital education processes and solutions to enable blended learning, teaching and e-assessment activity across the Faculty. The role line manages a team of learning technologists who provide Faculty support for KEATS (Kings e-learning & Teaching Service), the VLE (Moodle), facilitating the delivery of online content for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The role includes academic and professional service staff support and training including provision of guidance for placement partner providers where necessary.
This post will be offered on an indefinite contract
This is a full-time post – 100% full time equivalent
Key responsibilities
Supporting the Director of Technology Enhanced Learning, Academic Lead for Technology Enhanced Learning and Associate Director Education in the implementation of a digital education approach to the design, development and implementation of on-line resources and programme information resources to support all programmes running across the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine
Support the use of current and future virtual learning environments to support the education programmes as appropriate including planning, testing and implementation of novel solutions specifically related to eAssessment.
