Lifting Hands International is looking for a Professional Development Manager to start in March 2023 in Greece with a minimum six-month commitment.
About Us
Lifting Hands International operates a community center in Serres, a small city about an hour away from Thessaloniki in Northern Greece. We work with a population of 1000+ refugees & asylum seekers at the local camps, providing regular aid distributions and a range of psychosocial support programs.
Role Profile
The Professional Development (PD) Manager works within the Community Program of LHI Serres. The program focuses on the engagement of Community Members in the program planning & implementation, as well as the provision of continued learning opportunities for personal and professional development.
In close collaboration with the Director of Human Resources and the Community Engagement (CE) Manager, the PD Manager focuses on the strategic planning and development of the workshop and training curriculum for Community Volunteers as well as the broader Serres camp population. The role of PD Manager has been newly established and will support the development of the Community Program, which has been started in its current form in June 2022.
Main Responsibilities
Development of Trainings & Workshops e.g. Employability / Computer Workshops
Expansion of Collaboration with organizations on community engagement, professional development, training opportunities, etc.
Communication: Design of informational material for workshops, training, etc.
MEAL: Development of program related data collection, in collaboration with MEAL Director
MEAL: Implementation of effective monitoring measures for volunteer engagement and participant satisfaction
Risk-Reduction: Planning and Conducting of regular Risks & Needs Assessments
Safeguarding: Development & Improvement of program-specific Safeguarding Policies, Procedures
