Because the app is created by Instagram, it has the same look and feel of the existing aesthetic of the photo-sharing platform. It also lets people post directly from Threads to their Instagram Stories. 

“Our vision with Threads is to take what Instagram does best and expand that to text, creating a positive and creative space to express your ideas,” Zuckerberg said. 

Like Instagram, you can have your account be either private or public, enabling you to have the freedom to allow only certain people to see your page. And, those users who’re already verified on Instagram will be automatically verified on the new app. 

The Twitter-like platform allows users to follow and connect with people, including those they follow on Instagram as well as anyone who shares similar interests.
