Queen Camilla Steals the Show in All White While Hosting Garden Party with King Charles

In case you missed it, Queen Camilla worked some monochromatic magic during a recent royal engagement.

The queen and her husband, King Charles, hosted an elegant garden party during their visit to Scotland for Royal Week (AKA Holyrood Week), and the queen was simply a vision in all-white. She donned a white coat dress with matching gloves and a black-and-white hat, while His Majesty looked sharp in a dark blazer with gray striped pants.

The royal couple were joined by none other than Princess Anne, who wore a green dress with a patterned coat and coordinating hat.

The garden party was held at the Palace of the Holyroodhouse, and it’s part of a longstanding tradition where the monarch celebrates Scottish culture, achievement and community, per the official royal website. It reads, “The king welcomes around 8,000 people from all walks of Scottish life to spend a relaxed afternoon with him in the beautiful grounds of the Palace. The King and Queen proceed down avenues, speaking to a selection of guests. The Party is accompanied by music from regimental bands and The Royal Scottish Pipers Society.”

This marks the first Royal Week of King Charles’s reign, and it also coincides with his second coronation celebration being held in Edinburgh. Aside from Princess Anne, Prince William and Kate Middleton will also join to celebrate the occasion.

In 2017, the palace revealed that it was Queen Victoria who began the custom of visiting Holyrood each year. Every monarch has since maintained the tradition—including the late Queen Elizabeth, who also turned heads with her monochromatic looks.

Something tells us she’d be proud of the new king and queen.
