King Charles, Queen Camilla, Kate’s husband Prince William and children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will be among those attending.
Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice are also likely to join the congregation.
The December 8 service will reflect Kate’s Shaping Us campaign, which highlights the significance of a child’s early years.
Midwives and nursery teachers will be among the guests at the historic Abbey – with attendees being nominated by charities associated with royal family members.
Singers Adam Lambert and James Bay will star in the service alongside instrumentalist Freya Ridings.
The service will be held on December 8 and will be broadcast on ITV1 on Christmas Eve.
A further 12 local services backed by William and Kate’s Royal Foundation will be held in towns and cities across the UK.
