Now, Dr. Emily Morse is opening up about how her career choice has garnered criticism from others and affected her dating life.

The Los Angeles-based educator wasn’t always a carnal connoisseur.
Before moving into the intercourse-focused industry, Emily lived in San Francisco and worked in politics for female candidates running for office.
But by the time she was in her mid-30s, she was at a standstill with her career — and her sexual experiences weren’t riveting either.
Emily craved creativity at work and pleasure in the bedroom.
“I was 35 years old, always kind of searching for a job I was passionate about,” the author of Hot Sex: Over 200 Things You Can Try Tonight! and Smart Sex: How To Boost Your Sex IQ said.
“I was in and out of relationships. I was having sex. And honestly, I found that sex was really disappointing.
“As I was, it didn’t seem like I had as much pleasure as everyone else. And I didn’t have a lot of information about sex.
“For me, it felt more about pleasing my partner than it was about my own pleasure.”
In 2005, Emily hadn’t heard of anyone who spoke on the subject past the birds and the bees.
She wasn’t aware of any podcasts or books that would help her understand how to not feel like she was “failing at sex” or pressured to perform “correctly.”
“I really went on a crusade to find accurate sex information. There wasn’t a lot out there,” Emily admitted.
The online speaker called on all her girlfriends of different sexual orientations and in different relationships.
