This week, Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary kicked off This Morning following the bombshell news that Phillip Schofield had quit.
The TV presenter announced on Saturday that he was leaving the ITV programme amid rumours of a ‘rift’ with his co-host Holly Willoughby, with the 61-year-old’s final episode having aired last Thursday without a goodbye message to his audience.
Holly, 42, is currently taking an extended half-term break before she returns on June 5, when she’ll present the show with an array of faces familiar to This Morning audiences after Phil’s exit.
From Monday, Alison, 48, and Dermot, 49, resumed their roles of fronting the show during holidays – but on Wednesday, the former will be teaming up with a different partner.
On Instagram, it was announced that Craig Doyle would be taking his place next to her on the sofa on Wednesday May 24 at 10am.
In a post shared on Instagram, the 52-year-old shared a photo of himself with Alison, celebrating that they were being ‘reunited’.

‘See you on the sofa at 10am on Wednesday,’ he added in his caption.
Alison reshared the post on her own Instagram Story to her 1.3million followers, as she looked ahead to her next day back at work.
In the past, Craig has co-hosted This Morning with several individuals including fellow presenter Josie Gibson, 38.
Craig’s been a part of the This Morning family since 2021, often presenting competitions in addition to co-hosting with Alison on a couple of occasions in 2022.
