thanks for all your comments. 
finally got a reply from matt. he gave me the same advise, find a better mailing list service.
in the process though, i learned what i needed to know about spf and getting my messages to pass and, our messages pass SPF now!!
he’s not interested in providing DKIM certificates, not even one for our little film fest.
our budget is what it is. 1.5$/month for hosting and mailing list. pretty good if you don’t need support, and normally we don’t. he’s been great, we’ve been with him 20 years and the price has never changed. his control panel gives all the access needed, except for the darn DKIM pvt/public key certs.
i would like some recommendations, others have mentioned zoho for mail. i looked through the offers section. i’ll give it another look.
