Estadio Deportivo have revealed that Valencia have reactivated their pursuit of Bryan Gil after the injury to Samu Castillejo.
Gil has started Tottenham’s last three games against Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Portsmouth, with the winger being one of Spurs’ standout players against the Eagles and Pompey.
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold reported recently that the 21-year-old is now less likely to be loaned out on the back of his impressive recent displays.
Estadio Deportivo have now backed Valencia to reignite their interest in Gil after Castillejo suffered an injury against Cadiz, which is expected to keep him out of action for a long time.
The report states that reinforcements in the wide areas have now become a priority for Los Che, with the Tottenham winger seen as the ‘ideal’ profile for the La Liga club since he can play on either flank.
However, it is said that Antonio Conte has now changed his mind regarding the Spain international, which complicates Valencia’s pursuit. The report adds that apart from Gennaro Gattuso’s men, the likes of Sevilla, Espanyol, Mallorca and Cadiz also have their eyes on Gil.

I believe that Tottenham’s emerging interest in Leandro Trossard is a sign that Gil is likely to stay as the Brighton man is more likely to cover for Son Heung-min since he is at his best on the left. So, perhaps Conte feels that the Spaniard is capable of covering for Dejan Kulusevski on the right.
