So today's a question for Q a Friday is Fantastic because I have actually just Recorded an in-depth video about this so Fancy this question coming through and It says this I have a thousand people on My email list I have no problem creating An email list but when I send automatic Messages to my list the email falls in The promotions folder what can I do Welcome this is yours truly Pam or Bassett the founder of the lucrative Lady and you have joined me on Q a Friday where I grab one of the questions Asked here on YouTube on Facebook on Instagram in any one of our communities And I answer them and today's question Is a good one so you have an email list You have about a thousand subscribers Massive well done but the problem is That these emails are now Landing in the Promotions folder now there are several Reasons why emails land in the Promotions folder from you know the Subject line of the email to the Reputation of your own an email account Even things such as how you retrieved Those emails so there's a thousand Emails however many are inside of your Email list how did you collect them all Of these things matter now for the sake Of not repeating a video that I have Just done we have published a video Where I shared 10 different ways that You can prevent your emails from Landing
In the permissions folder but I want to Share in this video my top three ways From that list and then I still want you To go ahead and watch in that video After this so that you can hear the Other seven ways the number one thing in My view that gets emails learning the Promotions tab happens way before you Even write a single word of email and That is the reputation of your email Autoresponder one of the reasons why Most people's emails end up in the Promotions is because they are not using A reputable email autoresponder in the First place most reputable email Autoresponders have spam filters already Built into them and these spam filters What they do is they check your email And they give you prompts and Notifications if they read your email And see that it's coming across a little Bit spammy now depending on what email Autoresponder you use it's important to Do some research into the features of This and make sure that it has features In it that helps to mitigate this Specific problem so that your emails are Landing in the inbox as opposed to the Permissions tab the That I think most emails land in the Permissions tab is down to the subject Line hands down most autoresponders have Some words and key words that they are Looking for that send your email into
The promotions very very quickly now if You take a look at this screenshot for Example this is a screenshot that I have Taken from the promotions tab of my Gmail account whilst a lot of these Companies who've sent me these emails Are reputable companies they are Investing millions and millions into Their marketing you can see that they Are still in the promotions Tab and so This tells me that it's down to two Reasons number one is down to the Subject line that they have used and Number two it's down to the relationship That I have with them meaning that I'm Not opening their emails and that leads Me to the next point so the next thing You want to do to help your emails stay Away from the promotion step is to Communicate regularly with your Subscribers and not only should you Communicate regularly but get them to Reply back to you because when they Reply back to you it sort of Automatically whitelists your email and You can do it in a very simple way Inside of my email school we do do is we Ask a simple question and we ask our Readers to hit reply and respond to that Question and this is a really really Good way to not only get people talking To you and you're talking to them but Also to improve your domain reputation So I've just shared three points out of
