Thanks for the info. I knew that Chrome was gradually clamping down on non-SSL sites, but I didn’t know about the other stuff you referenced. I had assumed it was moving in that direction though.
We’re a really small business, and we’ve used bluehost for ~15 years. They recently moved us from the legacy shared servers to the new shared servers (Bluerock or whatever they call it). We’ve never had any issue with them, but we almost immediately started getting pinged for using too many resources? Customer service was not helpful at all, and we experienced significant down time. Now I have my doubts about using them long term. So that’s why were using GoDaddy too. Long story.
Anyway, I was hoping to stick with GoDaddy. GoDaddy does say that they support third party SSLs on their cPanel hosting, so I may give it a try.
Someone else mentioned checking out the offers section on this site. I have looked at it, and I’ve read several of the threads here that discuss which web hosts are the best to use. Tbh, I haven’t really found 3 or 4 hosts that stand out. Feel like there’s gotta be something better than what we’re using now.
